Houston, Texas – September 23, 2026 – Red Owl Boxing today announced three new matchups for its ‘Boxfest XXI’ championship fight card and return to El Paso, Texas on Friday, Oct. 2.
In a featured four-round women’s super welterweight (154 pounds) contest announced today, undefeated rising star Ariana Carrasco (3-0, 1 KO) will battle Angelica “Chingona” Flores (0-0).
The 23-year-old Carrasco of Las Cruces, N.M. will step into the Red Owl boxing ring for the third time in three consecutive months, just three weeks after defeating Jozette Cotton by way of unanimous decision in Hidalgo, Texas on September 11.
A decorated, former amateur champion who competed in over 80 amateur fights, Carrasco is quickly establishing herself on the professional circuit as a strong counterpuncher with good ring smarts.
For Flores, a 27-year-old native of Chandler, Ariz., the matchup with Carrasco will mark a return to the sport of boxing after a short run in the sport of MMA that Flores decided to pursue due to a lack of fight opportunities for women just a few years ago.
Flores, trained by Jose “Tiny” Castanon, previously fought six amateur bouts, posting an overall record of 4-2.
In a new, four-round featherweight (126 pounds) matchup announced today for the Red Owl Boxing main card, former 12-time national amateur champion turned unbeaten pro, Eric Martinez (1-0, 1 KO) of Reading, Pennsylvania will take on professional debut competitor Braulio Javier Victoria Monge (0-0) of Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico.
Martinez was originally scheduled to fight Rasuiod “The Prime” Hollie, who has since withdrawn from the commitment.
The previously announced eight-round championship main event, which will mark the first time in promotional history that Red Owl Boxing hosts a women’s championship fight, will see undefeated Melanie Timko (5-0) of Omaha, Nebraska square off with former world championship challenger Naomy “Kusa” Cardenas (10-2, 2 KO’s) of Chihuahua, Chih., Mexico with the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) North American Boxing Association (NABA) super flyweight (115 pounds) strap at stake.
In the previously announced co-main event, undefeated Deonte “Lay ‘Em Down” Brown (18-0, 11 KO’s) of Morgan City, Louisiana will take on hard-hitting Leonardo Padilla (25-7-1, 17 KO’s) of Petare, Venezuela via Miami, Fla. in a 10-round super featherweight (130 pounds) scrap.
Jeremy “Magic Hands” Adorno (10-1, 6 KO’s) of Kissimmee, Fla. will square off with William Holcomb (5-1, 2 KO’s) of Chicago, Ill. in a six-round featherweight clash.
A six-round light heavyweight (175 pounds) main card matchup will pit undefeated Kumar Prescod (4-0-1, 4 KO’s) of Oakland, Calif. against Christian Juresic (3-3, 1 KO) of Cleveland, Ohio.
In a new four-round super welterweight undercard fight announced today, El Paso native Sebastian Martinez (1-0, 1 KO) has been matched with Edgar Gutierrez (3-10, 2 KO’s) of Yuma, Ariz.
Martinez was previously slated to take on Andre Johnson (2-7-1, 2 KO’s).
The Red Owl Boxing preliminary bout card will be highlighted by a previously announced, six-round super featherweight meeting between Moises Rodriguez (5-0, 4 KO’s) of Juarez, Mexico and fellow undefeated rising star Eusebio Maldonado (3-0, 1 KO) of Wichita Falls, Texas.
Undefeated knockout artist Devon Marquis Garcia (5-0, 4 KO’s) of Las Cruces, N.M. will square off with Dennys Revilla Landaeta (1-3, 1 KO) of Elgin, Ill. in a previously announced, four-round welterweight (147 pounds) tilt.
Tickets for the “Red Owl Boxing Presents: Boxfest XXI” championship event at El Paso County Coliseum are on sale at Ticketmaster.com.
The ‘Boxfest XXI’ main card will stream live on DAZN, beginning at 10 p.m. ET/8 p.m. MT. The preliminary card will stream live on Red Owl Boxing’s YouTube channel, beginning at 8 p.m. ET/6 p.m. MT.
